What is your best tip/trick for traveling?
Plan a vacation after “the vacation.” It’s exhausting catching up on everything you missed while you were gone. It’s the truth, but seriously, leave all those worries behind and just relax and enjoy those around you. Tomorrow is another day and you can get those things done then. So, go make some memories!
What is one of your family’s favorite recipes?
Chocolate chip cookies, homemade bread, chicken and sausage gumbo (always after Thanksgiving) and their dad’s fried & smoked turkey
What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?
If someone makes a statement you don’t agree with and you say nothing, it’s assumed you agree……so SPEAK UP.
What are you currently reading, watching, and listening to?
Cookbooks, cooking magazines, and Foodtv. LOL. I can’t help it. I love cooking.
What are you learning in this season of life?
To slow down and be patient.
What did you want to be when you were a child?
I have no idea. That’s been too long ago.
LOL, I’m old!
What’s your favorite beauty product?
Eyebrow pencil! As I age, they disappear. LOL, no one told me THAT would happen!
What is your go-to snack?
Honey Crisp apples, and late night ice cream with my parents
What cause or community initiative do you support? What do you love about it?
I support Rays of Sonshine. I love that the items they collect are given free of charge to their clients. They house and counsel women who have substance abuse.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
Destin. I love to sit and listen to the calming sounds of the ocean. Ahhh, wish I were there.
What brings you joy?
Spending time with my grandbabies, making memories. And my parents, reminiscing about all the old times. Life is good.
